Alumni Spotlight: Proud Sailor Tradition in the Hardy Family

Petty Officer Ryan Hardy’18 was recently named ‘Sailor of the Year’ from the Naval Operations Support Center in Buffalo. He was assigned to Naval Reserve Assault Craft Unit 2 while a student at Roberts Wesleyan College. Ryan also served at the 58th Presidential inauguration. Karen Parkhurst ’89

Karen Parkhurst ’89 (Human Resources) is serving others through both the Rotary Club of Gates-Chili and Victor-Farmington.  The Gates-Chili group is a small Rotary Club of  14 members who serve others in the community.  Parkhurst recently presented a project to provide potable water to a small village in Nicaragua.  The Gates-Chili Rotary approved to support this project which will supply clean water to approximately 800 villagers, two schools, and a health outpost.  Parkhurst has chaired five humanitarian projects since 2008; four in […]

President’s Award of Excellence May’s Circle Banquet was the perfect venue to honor Dave Morrow, Roberts Junior College’47, and longtime Roberts Wesleyan College employee, with the 2017 President’s Award of Excellence. Dave was a champion of Roberts, particularly of our students, who remember him as a mentor and faithful encourager. Dave has a generous heart and kind spirit, and our community is stronger for his contributions.
