Charles Conrad ’63 (Comprehensive Social Studies) is enjoying running around in the grass in Heaven with his brother, while being chased by their mom. Chuck passed away suddenly on December 14, 2017 at home. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on June 30, 1939. Chuck is survived by his wife Joyce, eldest son Thomas and wife Jen, and youngest son Mike. He also leaves behind, 4 sisters, and way to many nieces and nephews, and all the kids that they had. Chuck was a passionate teacher at Vandercook Lake High school for 31 years. He coached football, basketball, track, and coached Vandercook’s state-winning cross country team in 1970. Chuck also ran a photograph business for about 30 years. He enjoyed taking pictures of the athletes and following their growth in their sport. Chuck made many friends through taking athletic pictures at the different schools. He was actively involved in the Chris Jenson and the Selby Invitational. Chuck also had his body donated to the University of Michigan Medical School, so they might learn from his illnesses.
