Dorothy Hendrickson Wermuth ’42, 94, of 4570 Rte 60 Heritage Village, Gerry, NY passed away Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at Heritage Village. Born in Warren, PA on December 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Frank William and Lottie (Deshner) Hendrickson. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Gerry, NY. Dottie graduated from Youngsville High School and Roberts Wesleyan College in North Chili, NY. She was a Life Underwriter for Manhattan Life Insurance Co. 1955-1965, President of the Projansky Circle and Women’s Auxiliary in Rochester, NY from 1952-1962, a lifetime member of Women’s Ministries International of the Free Methodist Church, Executive Secretary to Photographic Technology Division of Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, NY 1969-1974 and Motion Picture Research Technician for Eastman Kodak 1974-1984. Surviving are 2 sons, Fred (Mary) A. Wermuth III of Mooresville, NC and Thomas L. Wermuth of Scottsville, NY; one daughter, Jacqui (Bill) Anstey of Medina, NY; 3 granddaughters, Erika K. (Wiegert Tierie) Dietz, Penny J. Panzer and Gretchen (Chris) L. Penrose, and 3 great grandchildren, Ray Panzer, Zoe Elizabeth Panzer,and Sophia LeAnn Penrose, and several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carmen Huling, and her former husband, Fred A. Wermuth, Jr.
