Social Work Faculty Positions - MSW Program
The Department of Social Work at Roberts Wesleyan University invites applications for two full-time (9-month), tenure-track faculty positions for our synchronous online MSW Program beginning July 1, 2025. Part-time appointment option may be considered for one of these positions for interested and qualifying candidates.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications for candidates include:
- A doctoral degree in social work or related field (ABD will be considered)
- A Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited institution
- At least two years post-MSW practice experience with children, youth, families, or in mental health/behavioral health settings
- At least one year college/university level teaching experience (preferably at the Master’s level or with adult students)
Preferred qualifications for candidates include:
- Prior experience teaching in online or hybrid environments
- A license in clinical social work (e.g., LCSW)
- A record of scholarship
Candidates must demonstrate a Christian faith commitment consistent with the mission of the University. Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of all faculty at Roberts Wesleyan University is teaching. Teaching responsibilities could include any course in our synchronous online MSW curriculum, with particular needs in the areas of clinical/practice courses at the generalist level and the two areas of specialized practice: 1) Child and Family Services, and 2) Mental Health.
Additional faculty responsibilities include participating in department and university committees and events (with a mix of online and in-person participation expectations), advising MSW students, engaging in scholarship, collaborating to develop new initiatives and community partnerships, engaging in service, and preparing for accreditation. Promotion and tenure at the University are based on achievement across four broad categories: teaching, scholarship, professional activity, and service.
