Dr. Adam Huck spent thirteen years as a classroom teacher in the Rush-Henrietta Central School District, where he taught grades 3, 4, and 6. Prior to coming to Roberts Wesleyan College, Dr. Huck was a Lecturer at SUNY Buffalo State and taught an introduction to education course as well as methods courses in literacy and social studies. While pursuing his doctorate at the University at Buffalo, Dr. Huck was an adjunct instructor and taught social studies methods at the graduate level. His research has focused on the integration of literacy and social studies with an aim to elevate the presence of social studies in the elementary classroom. He has been published in The Social Studies and twice presented at the annual conference for the American Educational Studies Association. Dr. Huck enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter as well as reading American history.
