Emily Robinson was born in Rochester, NY and graduated from Allendale Columbia School. She taught science in private and alternative school programs in both the United States and overseas before returning to New York State to earn her NYS teaching certification in Earth Science. While continuing to teach in both private and public schools, Emily achieved her doctorate in Education. Based on these experiences, Emily’s current research interests include systemic inequalities in the public education system; teacher and student efficacy; and best practices with marginalized youth. Passionate about missions, Emily and her husband Dayne founded a local non-profit that brings mission teams overseas to serve. In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling, storm chasing, hiking, spending time with her family, and being a soccer mom to their four children, Daynea, Elisa, Abigail, and Andre.
