Frederick W. Thomas ’51 (History), 95, entered into the presence of his Savior on January 5, 2017. During World War II, Rev. Thomas served in the US Army. He earned a diploma from the Providence Bible Institute in Providence, RI; a bachelor’s degree from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY; and a Master of Education from the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. He ministered as a pastor of independent Baptist churches in Canada and New York State. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Taylors. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Mary MacGregor Thomas; children, Barbara (Michael) Travers, David (Rebecca) Thomas, Christine Thomas, and Leah Thomas; grandchildren, Stephen and Elizabeth Travers, Andrew, Joshua, and Evan Thomas; and great grandchildren, Ally, Micah, and Remy Thomas.
