Julie White Stevens ’12 (Master of Social Work) passed away after a courageous battle on July 29, 2017 at age 54. Julie was employed at the Center for Youth for 23 years. She is preceded by her parents, Elick Samuels and Margaret White. Julie will be forever cherished by her husband of 28 years, Kipper; sons, Terrance (Raevon) and Jamaal Stevens; grandchildren, Rasean and Aaliyah; brothers, Pastor Lloyd (Rudean), Jimmy (Shirley), Randy (Denise), Michael (Roberta), Matthew, Dexter (Sheila) and Bernard (Ezella) White; half sisters and brothers, Sharon (Randy) Johnson, Tyrone Samuels, Suzette and Gwendolyn Samuels; stepmother, Colleen Samuels; father-in-law, Harold (Mattie) Stevens; mother-in-law, Wilma Ashford; brothers-in-law, Michael (Sheila), Gregory (Claire) and Terrance Stevens; sisters-in-law, Lisa Stevens, Patrina (Keenan) Allen, Adrian (Perry) Garfield and Winona (Ray) McDowell; special cousin, Sonya White; special friend, Crystal Walker; many other relatives & friends.
