Mary Kunkle Reinhold McAninch ’57 (Nursing) passed away in Greensboro N.C. on January 30, 2017. Mary was born in Indiana, PA on July 14, 1935. She was the daughter of Lisle Henry Kunkle and Mary Stewart Harris. She was the former wife of Victor E. Reinhold Sr. and Ivan McAninch. She was the loving mother of Victor E. (Diane) Reinhold Jr. and Vern C. (Sonia) Reinhold. She was the dearest sister to Calvin Kunkle, Lisle Kunkle Jr., Jane Rulong, John (Jack) Kunkle and James Kunkle. She was grandmother to Kyle, Abbie, Kraig (wife Courtney), Katelyn, Robert, Eric and Kristopher and great grandmother to Kolton and Kendal. She graduated from Blairsville High School, received her Bachelor’s degree from Roberts Wesleyan College in 1957 and earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Syracuse University. For 30 years she was a teacher; first in Falconer, N.Y. at South Side and then in the Jamestown N.Y. Public School system teaching in elementary grades at Fairmont and Ring. She was a member of the Swedish Covenant Church in Jamestown, N.Y., (First and Zion), AAUW – University of Women, N.Y. State Teachers Association, Who’s Who in American Education Women and Chautauqua Institution Choir. She loved Crafts, Needlepoint and Genealogy Research and played several musical instruments including clarinet, piano, organ, ukulele and others. She cared deeply for family and others and served on medical missions to Central America. She will be remembered for her kindness and sacrifices for others and the lives she touched. Her Christian faith and quiet resolve were undiminished until the Lord called her home. In the certainty of eternal life, farewell, until again we all meet on resurrection morning.
