Ruth Logan

Ruth Alexander Logan, 60 passed away on January 16th. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mark Logan; son, Tyler (Rebecca) Logan; daughter, Elise (Shane) Fraser and five grandchildren, Jack, Evelyn Grace, Henry, Callie and Banks; and relatives and friends.

In Ruth’s 30 years at Roberts Wesleyan College (1990-2020), she served in the Office of Development, Director of Human Resources, Vice President for Administration, Vice President for Student and Organizational Development and a member of the President’s Cabinet (2004-2020). Her leadership roles were numerous and varied, spanning from the management of employees to student life to athletics, emergency response coordination to Diversity officer to history and archive keeper. She loved all things Roberts, and was passionately devoted to the high calling and mission of transformational Christian education. She was both an advocate and ambassador for people, using her voice and role to support, clarify, mentor and encourage. She modeled Christ to those around her and cared deeply for the people God brought into her life and work. She was an active member of Northgate Free Methodist Church.

Ruth was a lifelong resident of Churchville, and will be remembered as an avid gardener and world traveler. She was the daughter of the late David and Gladys Alexander.  Above all, her greatest joy was caring for her two children and five grandchildren.
