Alumni Spotlight: Miriam M. Moore-Burt ‘11 (OM) ‘14 (MSL)
Paving the Way for Diversity in Brighton
Chief diversity officers are at the forefront of implementing business strategies for diversity, equity and inclusion. The Town of Brighton has named its first-ever chief diversity officer with the appointment of Miriam Moore-Burt ‘11 (OM) ‘14 (MSL) as the Chief Diversity Officer for the Town of Brighton. Previously, Moore-Burt was the Vice President of Racial Equity and the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County.
"As I think about my life's journey, I'm realizing I've been charged with being the first in several spaces," she said.
Moore-Burt is also a member of the Alumni Council at Roberts Wesleyan College. The purpose of the Roberts Wesleyan College Alumni Council is to provide alumni direct engagement with the Office of Alumni Relations and Roberts Wesleyan College as a whole.
