Restructured program now available 100% online; eligible NY students to receive a 45% tuition discount

RNBS Program

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — To acknowledge the dedication nurses have demonstrated on the frontlines throughout the pandemic, Roberts Wesleyan College is relaunching its Registered Nursing (RN) to Bachelor of Science (BS) degree completion program with a new, flexible online option and a significant tuition discount for eligible registered nurses on their path to a BS degree. Between July 1, 2022, and Dec. 31, 2023, any registered nurse in New York state who enrolls in the Roberts RN to BS program will receive a 45% tuition discount. In addition to reduced rates for tuition, the college has also added a new, flexible online option for students seeking to complete their degree 100% online in as little as 12 months (full-time) or two years (part-time).

“As an expression of gratitude to nurses who have shouldered the burden of the pandemic for the past two years, Roberts is pleased to be able to offer this reduction in tuition for nurses to help increase their professional opportunities and earning potential,” said Pat Myers, director of the RN to BS program and assistant professor of nursing at Roberts Wesleyan College.

“This program has been redesigned around the needs of the working nursing professional with the ability to earn a degree in as few as 12 months. From beginning to end, this program focuses on academics and flexibility, and our hope is that this offering will provide more nurses with an opportunity to pursue their Bachelor of Science degree, sharpening their leadership, clinical judgment and advocacy skills to better serve their patients.”

The RN to BS program is structured for registered nurses who wish to broaden their professional skillset with the flexibility to balance their academic pursuits with any current career and life responsibilities. Students have access to the support, tools and technology needed to successfully complete their nursing degree within three years, engaging in coursework centered on evidence-based practices and care proven to foster more successful patient outcomes. Currently enrolled students will also receive the 45% tuition reduction for the remainder of their program, starting in fall 2022.

The college will host an in-person open house for all adult and graduate programs, including the RN to BS degree program, on June 7 at 6 p.m. Prospective students can learn more at this event by registering online or scheduling an appointment in advance with Jeanne Colleluori, assistant director of recruiting and admissions for nursing programs.
