Wellness Center Updates
To accommodate the increased student demand of students seeking counseling services, the Wellness center has transitioned to a triage model to initiate care. This allows us to meet with all students requesting counseling services, in a timely manner. A triage appointment consists of a brief assessment of the student’s needs, risks, and to connect them to the most appropriate (and available) mental health resources, which might be:
Individual counseling appointment with the Wellness Center
Access to Timely Care
Getting Connected with one of the Wellness Center’s groups (information below)
Referral for a community mental health provider
Crisis Resources
