Emily Purcell ‘23 (Psychology) has accepted a full tuition scholarship to Regent University’s Clinical Psychology program.

“Roberts’ curriculum and professors encouraged me to learn more about myself, my faith, and my education. The Christian curriculum helped me discover my dreams and how to apply my faith to a secular career.

After graduating, I aim to earn my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in pediatric neuropsychology. Ideally, I would like to work in a hospital setting with children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in hopes of reducing the stigma of children with disabilities. As I gain experience, I would like to work as a professor.”

Timothy Bovee ‘23 (Business Administration) accepted a Human Resources position at Paychex.

“Above all, my Roberts education helped develop me holistically rather than solely academically. The mandatory internship program pushed me out of my comfort zone, getting me valuable work and networking experience at a young age. My business classes and general education classes prepared me by teaching me how to learn and helping me to identify what I am passionate about.

My internship as an Absence Management and Safety Intern for Paychex led to a full-time job as an Employee Support Center Specialist at Paychex Corporate in Penfield. This position will help provide exposure to multiple areas of Human Resources and help me develop as a professional.”

“Roberts helped prepare me for medical school! There are many good professors in the science department and all of them are very willing and eager to help students succeed.

My dream job is to be a practicing medical professional. Right now my desired specialty is anesthesiology.

Additionally, I loved playing in the Men’s Varsity soccer team. I met so many friends there, other students who are equally dedicated to academic and competitive excellence.”

KayLeen Conklin ‘23 (Biology) will be attending the University of Pittsburgh.

“I’m going to earn my doctorate in dental medicine! Roberts has helped set me on this path by providing me with an abundance of scientific and leadership opportunities, such as serving as a Resident Assistant, working as a chemistry teacher’s assistant, and conducting research.

I truly appreciate how Roberts has assisted me in connecting my faith to my major. Because of my school, I feel far more prepared to serve the world as a Christian scientist!”
