Redhawks Who Soar June - 2023
We are proud of the 21,114 living alumni who are working in the fields of healthcare, social work, business, education, criminal justice, ministry, non-profits, the technology industry and entrepreneurship – just to name a few. This month we celebrate new opportunities and awards for these alumni!
Sara Gendrue ‘21 (Media, Digital Marketing) recently started a new position as a Marketing Specialist at HealthSource Marketing in Buffalo.
William Reynolds ‘75 (English) retired with emeritus status from Georgia Southern University. Reynolds retired after 48 years of teaching at both the public school level in upstate NY as well as university positions at University of Wisconsin-Stout, Oklahoma State University, Purdue University and Georgia Southern University.
Ellen Byham ‘90 (Biology) is a Life Coach. She recently released her second book, “The Time is Near,” which is a 70-entry devotional that focuses on the book of Revelation. Order the book at www.beautifulbalanceinspirations.org.
Armon Nasseri ‘21 (Criminal Justice) started a new position as an Account Executive at Zoominfo.ZoomInfo is a leader in go-to-market software, data, and intelligence for more than 30,000 companies worldwide.
Dan Butler '14 (OM) & '18 (MSL) is the Chief Equity Officer for the City of Rochester, effective June 6.
Theresa (Lippa) Cimino ‘18 (Business Administration) was recently promoted to System Pharmacy Business Operations Supervisor at Rochester Regional Health (RRH). She’s been with RRH since 2019 and has been in the System Pharmacy department since 2022.
Malik Dare ‘18 (Business Administration) has been inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame for North Colonie Central Schools. Dare is a Sr. Budget Analyst for the New York State Finance Committee. He is an example of someone who is ready to lead in the community to serve others.
Diane Torcello ‘23 (Arts & Culture, AS) has been promoted to president of Tompkins Community Bank’s Western New York (WNY) market. Torcello is a veteran of the banking industry, she is well-known throughout the community for her expertise in retail, commercial, operations, and branch management. She was also named to the RBJ’s Women of Excellence this year.
She is active in the community for volunteering and board service for Genesee County Chamber Business Development Committee, Mary Immaculate Finance Committee, Children’s Home Committee, United Way, St. Mary’s Parish Council and Junior Achievement. She has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Genesee Community College for 14 years, including two as Chair.
