Roberts Receives NYSBA Award

Roberts Wesleyan University was honored to receive a service award by the New York State Broadcaster's Association (NYSBA) at its Excellence in Broadcasting Awards event for local news coverage on Sept. 19 held at the Hyatt Regency in Rochester.

This award recognized the unique cross-sector collaborative Golden Apple partnership between WROC, Advantage Federal Credit Union, and Roberts Wesleyan University. The Golden Apple Award and Scholarship programs honor, elevate and celebrate the teaching profession in our community.

"In a time of significant teacher shortage, Roberts Wesleyan University was looking for a way to join forces and help inspire and enable those who want to teach to become teachers," said Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Roberts Wesleyan University Kristen Nielsen. "Roberts is proud to have awarded multiple $10,000 Golden Apple Scholarships over the last six years to make a way for people with varying degree levels and qualifications to take the next step at Roberts Wesleyan University."
