Roberts Cross Country Teams Head to NCAA DII Nationals
With both the men's and women's cross country teams placing second at the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds, they've qualified for the 2023 NCAA DII National Championships.
Acacia Barber (21:56.5) and Rachel Horner-Richardson (21:57.3), who finished in third and fourth place, led the women's side. Kylee Odell also finished in the top 10 as her 22:21.5 time landed her in ninth place. The team ended up with 70 total points, coming in second to Southern Connecticut State who won 58 points.
Acacia Barber, who was also named the East Coast Conference Runner of the Year following the conference championships last month.
For the men's side, three Redhawks finished in the top 10, as well. Owen White took third, followed by Blake Kasper in fourth, and Jackson Doran finished in sixth place. The Redhawks garnered 60 points and finished behind only Southern Connecticut State, who scored 32 points.
The teams will compete in the DII National Championships in Joplin, Mo. next Saturday, November 18.
