Fall ‘23 Highlights: All In for Athletic Success

The fall semester in Roberts Athletics was nothing short of phenomenal, showcasing a remarkable array of achievements!

Women’s Soccer:

  • Claimed the inaugural East Coast Conference regular-season championship and earned the #1 seed in conference playoffs.

  • Secured the #4 seed in the NCAA Division II National Championships.

  • Head Coach Sarah McClellan was named as the ECC Coach of the Year and NCCAA Midwest Regional Coach of the Year.

  • Five players were named to the All-Conference team: Larissa Johnston, Cassidy Pearce, Nicolette Knauf, Cami Brescia, and Ella White.

  • Larissa Johnston and Cassidy Pearce were named to the NCCAA Midwest All-Region Team.

Men’s Soccer:

  • Advanced to the NCCAA Semifinal game.

  • Tamas Nagy received several prestigious titles: NCCAA Midwest Region Offensive Player of the Year, NCCAA All-American, and D2CCA All-Region 2nd Team. Read more.

  • Five players earned recognition in NCCAA teams and all-conference selections:

    • Nathan Ferguson, Benjamin Lazcano, Cooper Kerridge, Joshua Jones, and Tamas Nagy

Cross Country:

  • Both men’s and women’s teams captured their 9th straight East Coast Conference title. Read more.

  • Both teams qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships. Read more.

  • Several athletes earned spots in the All-Conference teams: Owen White, Jackson Doran, Blake Kasper, Zachary Hall, Theodore Pintabona, Ryan Karker, Jaxon Bunting, Acacia Barber, Rachel Horner-Richardson, Kylee Odell, Zoe Perkins and Lydia Roselund

  • Acacia Barber and Owen White named ECC Runners of the Year.

  • Coach Andrew Dorr was recognized as the ECC Men’s and Women’s coach of the year.

Additional Highlights:

  • The Field Hockey program marked its inaugural win against Wells College on September 19. Read more.

  • Olivia Price and Sydney Yanak secured spots on the NCCAA All-Midwest 2nd Team in Women’s Volleyball.

  • Brett VanBoden successfully qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships in Women’s Triathlon.

Athletes at Roberts stand with confidence in these accomplishments which are a testament to their dedication, skill, and spirit. The fall semester exemplifies the university's commitment to fostering excellence both on and off the field, showcasing the ethos of "Education for Character" through outstanding athletic achievements.
