NEW OPPORTUNITIES
Hannah (Sawicki) Buffa ‘18 (Strategic Leadership, M.S.) started a new position as Senior Director of Learning and Development at Buffalo Rehab Group.
Jena Ashley ‘14 (Strategic Leadership, M.S.) started a new position as Director, Program Administrator at Wilmot Cancer Institute!
Paul Gangarossa ‘21 (Strategic Marketing, M.S.) is starting a new position as Communications Manager at Canandaigua National Bank & Trust!
Nicholas Grunert-Loud ‘17 (Management & Social Entrepreneurship) was recently promoted to Regional Director of Advancement - Northwest at RIT. Previously, he was the Associate Director of Advancement at the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences.
Kaleigh Distaffen ‘15 (English Language and Literature) recently started a new position as a Copywriter at Virtucom Group.
Justin Pretko ‘06, ‘08 (History, M.Ed. Social Studies Education) accepted a new position at Roberts Wesleyan University as the Assistant Director of Recruiting and Admissions. Previously he was an Academic Advisor for Teacher Education at Roberts Wesleyan University. His great work ethic and concern for detail while advising education students have paved the way to be key assets as he transitions to recruit for the Pathway to Teaching and MED Initial Certification programs.
Dr. Sean O’Donnell ‘12 (Master of Education, M.Ed.), was named the Assistant Principal at Brockport High School effective March 25. His experience includes K-12 education, general and special education, and technical education. Previously he was with Eastern Monroe Career Center as the Emergency Services Instructor. Ashellee (Spears) Toweh ’15 ’18 (Psychology, Social Work, M.S.W.) started as an Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant at Children's Institute - Rochester NY!
Brittany Hebel ’10 (Music Performance) will make her Carnegie Hall debut on March 23, 2024 as soprano soloist in Mozart’s "Coronation Mass" with the New England Symphonic Ensemble. She is currently performing the title role in Victor Herbert's "Naughty Marietta" with the St. Louis Winter Opera.
SERVICE TO OTHERS
Justin Pretko ‘06, ‘08 (History, M.Ed. Social Studies Education) joined the advisory board for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). “I support FCA at Roberts because I have worked with youth as a former teacher and young life leader and know how impactful Christ-focused mentors can be,” said Pretko.
