Redhawk Profile: Brynn King
It's been an incredible year for Roberts Wesleyan University pole vaulter Brynn King. Now, the 23-year-old is headed to Paris for the summer Olympics. Brynn secured one of three pole vaulting spots on the team at the US Olympic Trials at the University of Oregon in June.
Under the guidance of coaches Rick and Jenn Suhr, Brynn has literally taken off! Her record-breaking year included the NCAA Division II indoor and outdoor championships. Her best vault of 15 feet 6 and a quarter inches is the best at any level, division one, two, or three.
Brynn will head to Paris on July 26th. Her competition begins on Monday, August 5, with qualifying, and the finals are set for Wednesday, August 7. Click for more information on ways to watch the Olympics.
