Faith Works Podcast Launched by the School of Business
The School of Business has launched a new podcast, Faith Works, to explore the fascinating intersection between faith and work. This exciting campus-produced series will be a bimonthly release featuring experts and alumni and will explore ideas and share experiences.
“The School of Business at Roberts Wesleyan University firmly believes that God calls each of us to live out our faith daily, regardless of our vocation. This podcast pulls together Christians from diverse backgrounds who compare experiences and share best practices related to living a faith-saturated life, even in a secular or potentially challenging workplace,” said the Dean of the School of Business, Dr. Laura Falco.
The first episode is titled “Work and Power” and is about 40 minutes long. Episode one features former pastor and Roberts Wesleyan University Adjunct for Ministry and Northeastern Seminary Adjunct Assistant Professor and First-Year Seminar, Wally Fleming, and the research director at a Fortune 500 company, Upwork, Dr. Kelly Monahan MSL ‘09 (Strategic Leadership).
Listeners will hear from faculty, alumni, guests and staff. The first season of Faith Works will be hosted by someone different each week. Faith Works will foster the connection between faith and learning in higher education.
"People joke that the gap between Sunday and Monday is even much wider than Grand Canyon. As a Christian university, we earnestly desire to offer our integrated voices to serve the market in our common faith. We will apply biblical principles to deeply unpack work topics such as the future of work, non-profit management, ethics, business and church, higher education, and many others," said the Professor of Accounting and producer of this podcast, Dr. Michael Chen.
The Faith Works podcast can be listened to on Apple Music.
