My favorite thing about the course was how the labs were designed using real data and real situations that are likely asked of data analysts all the time. It was interesting to see what may be asked of me in my field and I thought it was really helpful to get the experience and knowledge for how to answer these questions.

For example, one may study how an initiative or campaign performed at a business to determine how they should handle a similar scenario, strategy, or action.
A business analytics degree at Roberts prepares you with the technical skills needed in the field. You’ll study data visualization tools like Tableau, databases, and real life business scenarios.
Can I work in data if I don’t love math?
You do not need to be a mathlete to be successful in Business Analytics.
While there are some basic math requirements, the field is much more well-rounded than you might think. You'll use a blend of skills. If you're a strategic thinker who loves connecting the dots, you'll do great here.
What industries can I work in?
As a data analyst, you’ll find opportunities in nearly every industry—whether it’s professional sports, marketing, oil & gas, green energy, pharmaceuticals, or real estate. This career path gives you a wide range of options and the security of multiple backup plans.
Is coding required in this program?
Yes, but only the basics! We focus on low-code approaches, so you’ll learn just enough coding to be job-ready without unnecessary complexity. The emphasis is on practical skills that employers look for today.
Can I learn online, or is this program only on campus?
Our Business Analytics program offers flexible hybrid learning options. You can take a mix of online and in-person courses, allowing you to balance your studies with other commitments like sports, work, or family responsibilities.
