Dual Enrollment

Get a jump start on your college education!

What is Dual Enrollment?
Dual enrollment lets high school juniors and seniors (16 years and older) take college-level courses while still in high school. These grades will appear on your college transcript. You can study on Roberts' campus or at your high school.

Benefits of Dual Enrollment:

  • Earn college credit in high school at a fraction of the cost.
  • No need for high-stakes AP exams.
  • Complete college-level general education requirements in high school to potentially graduate from college early and/or create space for an extra major or minor.
  • Experience college-level work in a supportive high school setting.

Important Deadlines

  • Online Registration & Payment Deadlines:
    • November 1, 2024 for Fall 2024 or full-year courses
    • March 7, 2025 for Spring 2025 courses

Hear from Dual Enrollment Graduates

I believe that the Dual Enrollment Program at Roberts Wesleyan allowed me to build a great foundation and expectation for college level work.
If I were a high schooler again, I think it’d be great to have more dual enrollment class opportunities.

The writing classes through Robert's dual credit program really prepared me for college and helped me to strengthen my writing.

Because of the class I took, it gave me enough knowledge to be able to be one of the few students to test out of a course my college offered!

I highly recommend taking dual credit classes in High School, because it will help you in college so you will not have to take as many classes.

  • Builds awareness in students who may not typically consider enrolling in college.*
  • Provides students with early exposure to college-level expectations.
  • Supports students’ academic goals; studies show that students from all economic levels who take Dual Enrollment courses are more likely to graduate high school, enroll in college, and earn a college degree.*
  • Raises academic rigor and student motivation through challenging courses that help prepare students for college and its higher demands.
    • According to one study, “The best predictor of college completion was not how good [students’] high school grades or SAT scores were, but how difficult their high school courses were. The harder the courses, the better they did in college.”**
