Social Welfare Minor
The Social Welfare minor is intended for those persons entering other professions where a basic understanding of social work skills would be an asset. These could include areas such as criminal justice, law, ministry, or teaching. The minor does not qualify for direct entrance to generalist social work practice.
The minor requires a minimum of 18 hours as follows:
- SWK 103, 205, 206, and 301;
- SWK 302 or 311;
- An elective from SOC 102 or SWK 204, 308, or 409.
