The History Department focuses on European, American, and non-Western History, and one of its most important goals is to help students develop that rich and rewarding study of the human past, in all its complexities. As part of the core humanities/liberal arts offerings at the college, the Department also seeks to develop research and analytical skills needed to communicate informed conclusions about the past.
