RN to MS Program
The Modular RN to MS program is an innovative 29 month time-shortened program offering nurses the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing. The program is offered in a convenient online format. It is designed for Registered Nurses with a bachelor's degree outside of the discipline of nursing who want to earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing while continuing to work. Students who maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher in the bachelor's level courses of the program can immediately enter the Graduate program in either Nursing Leadership and Administration or Nursing Education. Graduate Programs
The Master of Science with a major in Nursing Leadership and Administration degree program is designed for working RN’s who hold a bachelor's degree in nursing and are in or are seeking leadership positions in the health care system. Based on nursing science, with a significant focus on the business aspects of health care, evidence-based practice and the latest technological advances, this program will develop and hone your leadership expertise and your knowledge of administration and management in nursing. The course work, graduate project, and internship will prepare the graduate to be a visionary leader and a participant in the improvement of the health care system. It is an accelerated program meeting one night per week with extensive online course support or a fully online format.
The Master of Science in Nursing Education degree program is designed for working RN's who hold a bachelor's degree in nursing and want to be an important part of nursing's future -- those who want to become a nurse educator. The program utilizes evidence-based learning methods to develop students' expertise through practice teaching in an area of choice and preparation for multiple teaching settings. Students will master the latest technological advances in education and be prepared for success in the nurse educator role. The Master of Science in Nursing Education is also an accelerated program meeting one night per week with extensive online course support or a fully online format.
The Master of Science in Nursing Informatics program is designed for working R.N.'s who hold a bachelor's degree and are in, or are seeking, informatics positions in the health care system. Based on nursing science, computer science, and information science, the program will develop and hone the nurse's knowledge of health care and nursing informatics. The course work, graduate project, and internship will prepare the graduate to be an effective member of the health care team with expertise in informatics and a participant in the improvement of the health care system. After completing this online program in 20 months, praticipants will be prepared to sit for the Nursing Informatics Certification Exam.
Additionally, the Advanced Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Administration and the Advanced Certificate in Nursing Education programs are available for students who have previously earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree. Students take six nursing leadership and administration or education courses for 18 semester hours of credit and earn the post-master's certificate.
