Media, B.A.

Media, B.A. [0599]

The Media major is designed to immerse students in the fascinating world of mediated communication.  From the traditional platforms such as radio, TV, film, and the press, to the new digital media such as computers and social media, students have an opportunity to study communication technologies and explore the impact of technologies on communication and culture. Coursework will include core communication courses and electives;  media courses like production, theory, media management; and a professional internship to provide real-world work experience.  Students will also complete a focused concentration outside the major (in areas such as business, ministry,  graphic design, etc.) so that they will be able put their knowledge and skills to work in graduate school, in the media industry, or in a variety of occupations that employ professionals with media expertise and skill sets.
