The Homeland Security and Applied Intelligence major is designed to create culturally literate, highly ethical, skilled graduates for placement in law enforcement, national security, intelligence analysis and design, private security, and multi-national corporations.

The Homeland Security and Applied Intelligence major was designed by recognized law enforcement and national security experts to educate students on the dense nature and complexities of the current state of U.S. and world security.  Graduates with a degree in Homeland Security and Applied Intelligence from Roberts Wesleyan College will also have attained the skills necessary to analyze and refine data into actionable intelligence for various consumers.

SPECIFICS OF THE HOMELAND SECURITY AND APPLIED INTELLIGENCE B.S. DEGREE

Minimum Total Hours:  124

Total Liberal Arts Hours Required:  60

General Education Requirements: 
 Per General Education list (see General Education Council).Exceptions: Must take PSY 208 for behavioral science requirement; Must take HST 300 for the history, economics, or social sciences elective; Only one fine arts course is required (ART 105 or 275); Lab science must be BIO 103 or CHM 111 or NSC 207; must take MTH 200 to fulfill mathematics requirement.

Minimum Requirements:  
Overall and major GPA of 2.0; no grade less than C- in the major.

Application to the Major:  
Formal application to the major should be made upon the successful completion of CRJ 101.  The standard Application to the Major form is accepted.  A minimum overall GPA of 2.0 is required for acceptance to the major.
