Exams in junior and senior-level nursing courses are modeled similarly to the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) to prepare students for licensure. Students receive clinical instruction throughout their junior and senior years. Numerous Rochester-area community agencies serve as clinical placements for education directed by the College nursing faculty. Please see the Nursing Student Handbook for additional information.
As an integral part of the College, the four-year academic course of study offers a program of liberal and professional studies. Students who complete the traditional undergraduate program in Nursing are eligible to take the NCLEX for registered nurse licensure. Upon graduation from the program, students are able to apply for nursing positions in many settings. They are qualified to enroll in an advanced program in Nursing to prepare for roles such as clinical specialists, nurse practitioners, or administrators. The baccalaureate and master's programs in Nursing at Roberts Wesleyan College are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) at www.ccneaccreditation.org.
