International Students

Advisement

The Office of International Engagement serves international students by providing information about US federal immigration regulations and maintaining legal immigration status. The office also provides resources and assistance related to being an international student in the US. In addition to the services of a faculty advisor in the student's major field, the office provides cultural and personal support to international students. The Director of International Engagement functions as a Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for the Student & Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).

Academic Procedures

International students in the U.S. on an F-1 visa must maintain their legal status while studying in the United States. • dropping below full time enrollment
  • shortening or extending their academic program
  • transferring schools or taking courses at another school
