Wellness Center

The Wellness Center is committed to protecting your health in many ways: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. No matter where you come from or how you express yourself, we are here for you. We'll meet you exactly where you are and help you find support, hope, and direction.

Our wellness philosophy is built on the assumption that wellness must address the whole person as a physical, emotional, social, and spiritual being.  The Wellness Center is located in the Voller Athletic Center and is staffed by licensed professionals.

Through our Wellness Center, students have access to various health and wellness services, including:

  • Non-acute medical care, such as physicals and sick visits
  • Individual counseling and group counseling
  • Emergency/walk-in crisis counseling
  • Consultation and referrals to specialists or off-campus services

TimelyCare Services

All Traditional Undergraduate Students have access to scheduled and on-demand virtual medical, counseling, and health-coaching visits, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, through TimelyCare. The TimelyCare app can be accessed on a phone or other personal device.

General Precautions

The University reserves the right to take appropriate action consistent with school policy regarding particular health or threatening mental health situations. In the interest of the university community's safety and well-being, students may be required to depart to their homes, hotels, or local hospitals.

Medical Insurance

It is highly recommended that all students maintain medical insurance coverage. Many clinical and internship sites require coverage for students' participation. International students and student-athletes, as well as students participating in university-sponsored overnight or missions trips, are required to have insurance coverage.

Medical Insurance - International Students

All international students are required to secure medical insurance coverage before arrival to attend university and reside on campus. Proof of coverage can be the student's insurance ID card or a letter of creditable coverage with the start and expiration dates of coverage. We ask for international students to verify the medical insurance policy will be applicable during their stay in the United States.

Medical Insurance - Student Athletes

New and returning student-athletes are required to secure medical insurance coverage before arrival on campus for intercollegiate sports. Proof of medical insurance coverage can be the student's insurance ID card or a letter of creditable coverage. The student-athlete's medical insurance policy must cover sports injuries for the student to be a sports participant.

Medical Insurance - Nursing Students

Traditional Undergraduate Nursing Students who are entering clinical placement are required to secure medical insurance coverage before beginning their clinical placement. Proof of medical insurance coverage can be the student's insurance ID card or a letter of creditable coverage.

Immunization/Health Records for Attendance

New York State Public Health Laws 2164 and 2167 require all students attending New York State higher educational institutions, taking six credit hours or more, to provide evidence of protection against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Meningococcal Meningitis.

New York State educational institutions are required to exclude non-compliant students from the premises. Violations of NYS PHL 2165 and 2167 may result in the imposition of a penalty of up to $2,000 per student.

Student Immunization Records, Health History Form, and Physicals (for student athletes and nursing students) must be submitted to the Wellness Center before the student's arrival on campus. Records and forms can be completed and uploaded through our secure Student Health Portal.

Infectious Disease

In the case of an infectious outbreak, the Wellness Center will act per the local health department's guidance to manage and accommodate the campus community in preventing further exposure and transmission, with a focus on safeguarding the well-being of students, faculty, and staff.
