Non-Discrimination & Non-Harassment Policy

NON-DISCRIMINATION AND NON-HARASSMENT POLICY

All employees and students should be able to enjoy, work, and study in an educational environment free from harassment on any basis protected by law. Roberts Wesleyan University prohibits discrimination against employees, employment applicants, and students on any basis prohibited by law.

Reports of discrimination or harassment are investigated by the appropriate office as found in Administrative Policy #116.

Students who are subjected to discrimination and/or harassment should report the matter to the Dean of Students, the Vice President for Student and Organizational Development, or any member of the faculty or staff with whom they are comfortable discussing the matter.  Anyone who receives a student report of discrimination and/or harassment must share the report with the Vice President for Student and Organizational Development.  The Vice President for Student and Organizational Development will share the report with the Dean of Students.

Members of the faculty or staff who are subjected to discrimination and/or harassment should report the matter to the Director of Human Resources, the Vice President for Student and Organizational Development, or any supervisor, manager, or administrator with whom they are comfortable discussing the matter.  Anyone who receives a report must share the discrimination and/or harassment report with the Vice President for Student and Organizational Development.

All employees (faculty and staff, including part-time, time-as-reported [TAR], and student employees) who are aware of a possible incident of protected status discrimination and/or harassment affecting a member of the faculty, staff or student body must report the matter to the Vice President for Student and Organizational Development or any supervisor, manager or administrator with whom they are comfortable discussing the matter.  Anyone who receives a report must share the discrimination and/or harassment report with the Vice President for Student and Organizational Development.  If the report involves a student, the Vice President for Student and Organizational Development will share the report with the Dean of Students.
