Wellness Center
The Wellness Center provides preventative and restorative mental health and wellness services to students in an atmosphere that is confidential, comfortable, and for all persons regardless of race, gender, ethnic background, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, or physical status.
Our wellness philosophy is built on the assumption that wellness must address the whole person as a physical, emotional, sexual, social, and spiritual being. The Wellness Center is located in the Voller Athletic Center and is staffed by licensed professionals.
- Non-acute medical care, such as physicals and sick visits

General Precautions
The University reserves the right to take appropriate action consistent with school policy regarding particular health or threatening mental health situations. In the interest of the university community's safety and well-being, students may be required to depart to their homes, hotel, or local hospital.
Medical Insurance
It is highly recommended that all students maintain medical insurance coverage. Many clinical and internship sites require coverage for students' participation. International students and student-athletes, as well as students participating in university-sponsored overnight or missions trips, are mandated to have insurance coverage.
Medical Insurance - International Students
All international students are required to secure medical insurance coverage before arrival to attend university and reside on campus. Proof of coverage can be the student's insurance ID card or a letter of credible coverage with start and expiration date of coverage. We ask for international students to verify the medical insurance policy will be applicable during their stay in the United States.
Medical Insurance - Athletes
New and returning student-athletes are required to secure medical insurance coverage before arrival on campus for intercollegiate sports. Proof of medical insurance coverage can be the student's insurance ID card or a letter of credible coverage. The student-athlete's medical insurance policy must cover sports injuries for the student to be a sports participant.
Immunization/Health Records for Attendance
New York State Public Health Laws 2164 and 2167 mandate all newly admitted and readmitted undergraduate students attending New York State educational institutions taking six credit hours or more to provide evidence of protection against specific diseases.
The Health History Immunization form and documents must be submitted to the Wellness Center before the student's arrival on campus.
New York State educational institutions are required to exclude non-compliant students from the premises. Violations of NYS PHL 2165 and 2167 may result in the imposition of a penalty of up to $2,000 per student.
Infectious Disease
In the case of an infectious outbreak, the Wellness Center will act per the local health department's guidance to manage and accommodate the campus community in preventing further exposure and transmission, with a focus on safeguarding the well-being of students, faculty, and staff.
Website
The Health Center website presents the medical services offered, features outside medical resources of the surrounding area, and a Q&A section. It also supplies information to assist the student in completing the New York State college attendance requirements, and furnishes the Health History Immunization forms for new and returning students, international students, student-athletes, and specific programs like nursing.
